Here's the sister to gracefully unnamed, another poem posted up here somewhere.
fearfully unnamed
6-20-09
I wish you wouldn't because
it makes all the stars come out
to play bright gold and yellow in the moonlight
and dance like daisies 'cross my lips
glittering in the honey due
left there by a lanquid tongue.
And the stars leave roses in their wake
red soft velvet folds
caught between my teeth
and the breath sighs past them
past those roses scenting the night.
I don't think it's right because
I'm standing on the very edge
a dazzling sky all around
burning bright azure blue
but it's not day
it's night and you see
nothing good ever comes from night.
Almost never good.
When the winds die down
when I'm standing on the lonely beach
there's a dark green knot in my stomach
and it twists and churns
though something dark burns
sweet amber in my soul.
The neon haze tricks the eye
makes it seem like something more
something compelling and unknown
but it has a name
and I won't let it past my lips.
I won't let it taint the roses.
I can't let the moonlight win
because my skin, it knows the Sun.
And gold will carry me away
past the stars where secrets play
out of roses, of languid dew
and in the end away from you.
I really wish you wouldn't.
Aw! Its, so, wow! Amazing! I love it! Good imagery! Its beautiful!
